Jersey Shore responders euthanize dolphin after it washes up, marking 4 in less than a week
after becoming stranded in Sandy Hook, a fourth washed up in Atlantic Highlands on Wednesday and was later euthanized due to its condition, officials said.
The Marine Mammal Stranding Center — which is authorized by the state and National Marine Fisheries under a federal permit to rescue and rehabilitate marine mammals — responded Wednesday to a call of a dolphin stranded on the banks of Shrewsbury River, the non-profit said Thursday.
