Department of Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa also said in a release that children who have weak immune systems could catch communicable diseases from overcrowded places such as cemeteries. Herbosa, quoted by reports, also added that intense heat and sudden downpours could also harm children. Despite COVID-19 cases plateauing, the DOH head said that the threat of the disease was still present.The health department further advised those who plan to visit the cemeteries to bring their water and food to prevent poisoning and diseases. The DOH also discouraged bringing salads and other food that could easily spoil due to heat.
