​​​​​​​THE government on Monday started giving the second booster shot against Covid-19 to immunocompromised individuals in the National Capital Region.The Department of Health said it plans to administer jabs to 690,000 immunocompromised individuals across all priority groups.'Operations will initially aim to reach approximately 1-2 percent of this target, which corresponds to about 7,000 to 13,000 individuals.

'More vaccination sites will start administering 2nd boosters as the days progress,' the DoH said.Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje, chairperson of the National Vaccination Operations Center, said the country's supply of Covid-19 vaccines was enough for the rollout of the second booster shots.'We have enough vaccines for primary doses, first and second booster shots,' she said in a radio interview.
