For three days in a row, the Department of Health reported more than 300 fresh cases of coronavirus infection within a 24-hour period.
Fresh cases refer to positive test results released in the last three days while late cases refer to those released at least four days ago. Eight new mortalities were also reported, raising the death toll to 1,011, while 107 patients have recovered, bringing the total recoveries to 4,637. Among the 248 late cases are 5 from Central Visayas, 106 from NCR, 106 from other regions, and 31 repatriates.
