More than 3,500 bags of dog treats have been recalled over concerns of potential metal contamination, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.The Richmond, Virginia-based TDBBS, LLC voluntarily recalled 3,551 bags of Green Tripe dog treats "due to the potential presence of foreign metal objects in the dog treat," an FDA notice dated June 21 said.
The dog treat recall affects the following products/lots:"The potential presence of metal objects could pose a health hazard to your dog," the FDA notice states. "If you believe your dog has consumed the affected product, you should monitor for any signs of illness unusual behavior and contact a veterinarian in the event of any concerns."Consumers who have purchased the product should stop feeding it to their pets and throw it away, the agency notice said.
