Police are appealing for witnesses after the cast iron statue was stolen from a driveway in Lanercost Walk, Northampton
A cast iron dog statue of a hunting dog was stolen from Lanercost Walk in Northampton last Friday . The incident occurred between 6.35pm and 7pm when a man and woman entered the driveway of the house.
They picked up the slate grey coloured statue, which weighed between 60-80kg, and walked off towards Skiddaw Walk. The man was in his late 20s to early 30s, about 6ft and of a slim build with short black tight curly hair, a stubbly moustache and was wearing a grey tracksuit. The woman was also in her late 20s to early 30s, about 5ft 4in and had a blonde ponytail. She was wearing a baseball cap, long coat and was carrying a rucksack.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area between the stated times or who may have been offered or seen the pictured statue for sale in unusual circumstances.Anyone with information is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101, or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
