A 20-month-old Sheepadoodle named Brooklyn was rescued from a frozen lake in New Jersey after running from her dogsitter. Local resident Kishan Patel used his drone to help assess the situation and the thickness of the ice.
A 20-month-old Doodle named Brooklyn was stuck for nearly a day on a frozen lake in New Jersey. On Christmas Eve, she ran from her dogsitter onto the frozen surface of Lake Parsippany. The snow on top of the ice was filled with the paw prints of the confused and scared Sheepadoodle. She refused any attempts to coax her back from the treacherous thin ice. Kishan Patel, a local resident, saw the police officers trying to help and decided to lend a hand.
He used his drone to help assess the situation and the thickness of the ice. After using weights to gauge the ice thickness, an officer safely made his way out, close enough to spook the dog to run back to shore. The dog got scared off the ice and ran into someone's front porch where it was eventually found
