Emmaline Jacques said she is grateful for the support she received after the incident
A dog walker was verbally abused when she was walking her dog in the park, after fellow walkers mistook her pet for an XL Bully. Emmaline Jacques was exercising her French Mastiff pet Hooch in Memorial Park, Syston, Leicestershire, when someone shouted at her 'you better make sure your XL Bully doesn't bite anyone'.
"It made me not want to go out walking and it was quite horrible to be honest. I have had people drag their dogs away before that. I have had someone shout abuse when I walked past. Another added: “This is so sad. I've even had it this weekend with my Frenchie. People are so ignorant. It's rubbish owners that need banning.”
“That’s what I think the problem is with these dogs, they have just been bought because it is the latest trend. It is not fair for people to judge when it is a small minority who are not raising their dogs properly.”
