Kris Jenner is not going to be happy to hear this, but it must be said: Kylie Jenner taking the Kardashian kids on a shopping spree at Target is not going to make the world forget about her private-jet usage

On Monday, Jenner shared a video of her taking her daughter Stormi, someone who appears to be Kim Kardashian’s daughter Chicago, and Khloé Kardashian’s daughter True, on a Target shopping trip. In the clip, the girls ride in a shopping cart and grab L.O.L. dolls off the shelves. The final image features a variety of bright plastic toys taking over a checkout counter.
On any other day, this video might be but a blip on the Kardashians’ social-media presence, but today, it’s raising eyebrows after Kylie got heat over the weekend for posting a photo of her and Travis Scott’s matching private jets. “You wanna take mine or yours?” she wrote in the caption. Bragging about your two private jets while climate change is causing unprecedented heat waves and wildfires? Not the best move.
In this context, Kylie’s Target trip TikTok reads like an attempt to shift the narrative away from her “climate criminal” ways and make her more relatable. This is a woman who has matching diamond rings with her 3-year-old. I don’t need her to be relatable. I do, however, need the Earth to be habitable as long as possible, so if she could cool it with the private jets, that’d be a start.
