She performed her breakout hit “Denial Is a River” surrounded by a sea of dancers—all coordinating with her in custom fits by Thom Browne for the occasion.
Earlier in the evening, she became only the third woman to ever take home the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album—a feat only Cardi B and Lauryn Hill accomplished before her. “I don’t wanna make this long, but this category was introduced in 1989, and only two women have won: Lauryn Hill... wait, three women have won! Lauryn Hill, Cardi B, and Doechii!” the rapper said during her speech.
