Dodgers left-hander Julio Urias was the only pitcher in the majors to win 20 games in 2021 and had the lowest ERA in the National League in 2022. But he still hasn’t made an All-Star team – or received a first-place vote for the NL Cy Young Award.
It is the ninth time in the past 12 years that a Dodgers pitcher finished in the top three in Cy Young voting . The Marlins right-hander maintained his excellence over a major-league leading 228⅔ innings , throwing six complete games – no other pitcher threw more than three. Both of those were the most in the majors since 2014.
