'I want to be a part of it, want to be one of the best five guys we have,' Kershaw told reporters afterward, via KVUE's Cory Mose. 'Obviously, right now, we're in a bit of dire straits. We need to hold on a little bit ... if they need me now, I'll be ready.'Although Kershaw will start in his season debut, it's unclear what his role will look like when/if the Dodgers rotation gets healthy.
