Dodge ajuste le son électronique de son concept Charger Daytona
• Le système Fratzonic offre une première sonorité qui ressemble un peu à celle d’un moteur à combustion.
S’il y a une marque à travers l’industrie qui a carburé à l’émotion au cours des dernières décennies, et plus particulièrement depuis 15 ans, c’est bien Dodge. Or, avec l’électrification qui devient une réalité, la compagnie se trouve menacée de perdre son identité. Il y a six mois, lorsque la compagnie a présenté son concept Charger Daytona Banshee, un modèle qui est appelé à remplacer la berline Charger et le coupé Challenger, qui en sont à leur dernière année, on nous a fait entendre à quoi pourrait ressembler l’échappement électronique d’un futur modèle Dodge.
Rappelons que le système d’échappement Fratzonic n’est pas seulement composé de haut-parleurs externes. Il prend plutôt la forme d’un orgue à tuyaux utilisant l’air à travers des chambres accordées pour produire du bruit. Le son final est le résultat d’informations combinées reçues comme la position de l’accélérateur et la vitesse.
