Jan Pearson's receptionist Karen Hollins died in Thursday's episode, right as she was about to leave Leatherbridge behind with her husband Rob . The couple had big plans to flee the West Midlands for a cruise now they managed to sell their house £10,000 over the asking price.

In the scenes, Rob returned home to discuss their travels with Karen only to find her unconscious on the sofa. He attempted to revive her before calling an ambulance. Sadly, the paramedics confirmed that Karen was dead.
