Ahang Mirshojae, the ex-wife of slain doctor Dr. Hamid Mirshojae, has been charged with murder in connection with his death. Authorities allege she conspired to have him killed in a murder-for-hire plot.
Five people have been arrested in the Aug. 23 killing of 61-year-old Dr. Hamid Mirshojae as he left his medical practice in Woodland Hills .Four people, including the doctor's ex-wife, have been charged in connection with the murder in the parking lot on Topanga Canyon Boulevard.
She appeared in a downtown Los Angeles courtroom for arraignment Tuesday morning, but the proceeding was postponed to Jan. 6. The new filing comes as one of four people charged in connection with the killing is expected in court Monday days after a series of arrests, including the victim's ex-wife, in the murder investigation.
“The horror and betrayal of this crime are beyond words," Hochman said in a statement."The depth of the deceit and violence involved in this case is chilling, and we will not rest until justice is served."
