A top doctor has pointed out a subtle detail in the statement Catherine, Princess of Wales made in a new video revealing she had taken an absence from royal duties due to a cancer diagnosis. Kate was admitted to hospital for abdominal surgery in January, and announced she was later diagnosed with cancer and had been receiving “preventative” chemotherapy treatment since last month.
” Gupta also made the point the royal did not reveal what type of cancer she was diagnosed with, or the staging. “We did not hear anything from the medical team saying, ‘Hey, look, we expect a full recovery’,” he said. “She obviously has said that, but there are a lot of questions I think that still really need to be answered, I think in some way.” In her video statement, Kate said her family needed space and privacy as she completed her treatment.
