A Townsville couple have had the fright of their life after carjackers attempted to steal their car with their baby inside. Chris Thurley and his wife were at a local supermarket with their two young children in Townsville on Wednesday morning when the attempted carjacking took place.
Mum’s terror as teenagers attempt to carjack vehicle with baby inside. Thurley took to social media to slam the government’s handling of the state’s youth crime issues as he described the ordeal. He told Sunrise the ordeal began when a stolen white Audi pulled up behind Thurley’s wife while she was strapping their six-month-old baby into the baby seat in the back. “The car pulled up behind her,” he told Sunrise on Thursday morning. “She had noticed the car acting strangely.
