Digital Nasional Berhad claims to have deployed 5G covering nearly 50% of populated areas in Malaysia, exceeding its original target of 40% population coverage by end of 2022.
Digital Nasional Berhad has announced that it has exceeded its 2022 5G rollout target of 40% 5G population. It claims to have achieved close to 50% population coverage with 3,900 sites deployed as of 31st December 2022.
In East Malaysia, it has 32.4% 5G population coverage in Sarawak and 27.9% 5G population coverage in Sabah. The 5G coverage is still quite limited in Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu and Perlis, with less than 15% of the population covered.
