However, the court heard that the DNA evidence provided two profiles, meaning it might have been worn by two men or a man and woman.

The forensic specialists dismissed any links between Mthokoziseni Maphisa, Fisokuhle Ntuli, and Muzikawukhulelwa Sibay from the hat found on the crime scene.
