DJs Scott Mills and Chris Stark announce they are leaving BBC Radio One BBCR1
In a social media post confirming the news, the radio station wrote: "We have some sad news to share."Thank you from all of us for everything, we'll miss you both greatly."To find out who will be taking over their slot on the station, tune in to their show on Tuesday afternoon via BBC Sounds."
Of his departure, he said: "Time actually does fly when you're having fun, and that's certainly been the case over the past 24 years at my beloved Radio 1," he says. Chris, 35, chose to announce his departure from the radio show in a rather more unconventional way - uploading to his social media channels a video of Lewis Capaldi announcing it instead.
"They've asked me to do this for them, unfortunately I am afraid it is true, Scott Mills and Chris Stark are going to be leaving Radio 1. I know you're all screaming, shouting at the television... throwing things."
