Two other DJs were shot in the incident, in front of a house in Laurelton
Police are looking for a man they say shot three DJs — one of whom has since died — after a party in a residential Queens neighborhood this weekend. The shooting took place in one of the few precincts to see an increase in gun violence this year.
NYPD officials said the three DJs, a 23-year-old and two 24-year-old men, were loading up a van with their equipment in front of a home on 220th Street and 133rd Avenue in Laurelton early Sunday. Just after 1 a.m., the gunman appeared and fired several rounds at the men, officials said. All three DJs were taken to local hospitals with gunshot wounds, and one of the 24-year-olds was later pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, police said.NYPD officials did not immediately release the name of the man who died, and were working Monday to find the shooter.
