The mix of the Genie, Genie+ and Lightning Lane names and signage has been a constant source of confusion for visitors.

Disneyland has used the upcharge Lightning Lanes to offset lower attendance at the park. A simple name change to the Genie+ ride reservation system will hopefully make the paid Disneyland front-of-the-line service a little easier to use and less confusing to understand.
The $30 Lightning Lane Multi Pass line-cutting perk is good for 22 attractions at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Pirates of the Caribbean is a temporary addition to the Lightning Lane lineup while Haunted Mansion remains closed. Prices are not expected to rise with the name change — but Disneyland has steadily increased prices on the paid services since introducing them.
