Star Wars Month will feature ‘epic encounters’ and themed food and beverage items inspired by the cinematic galaxy far, far away.
The Star Wars-themed overlay of the Space Mountain coaster was first introduced during the 2015 Season of the Force event. Scenes of X-Wings, Starfighters and even the Millennium Falcon flash on the interior walls of Space Mountain as riders race through the dark aboard the indoor coaster. The highlight: A TIE fighter that heads right for the coaster train with an effect reminiscent of the boulder scene in the Indiana Jones Adventure.
The separate admission events feature specialty-themed entertainment, character meet-and-greets, photo op backdrops, food and drinks, collectible merchandise, commemorative keepsakes and unlimited PhotoPass digital downloads along with select rides and shows. Star Wars Nite will include a “Celebrate the Nite” fireworks show set to symphonic scores from the film franchise, a March of the First Order led by Captain Phasma in Tomorrowland, appearances by Tusken Raiders and Jawas, lightsaber training and galactic churros.
