The delays might have helped the studio rectify its mistakes, given how some major CGI changes have been made to Snow White's seven dwarves after they were initially criticized for deviating from their representation in the original tale. However, the rectification may be less of a consequence of the delay and more of a domino that has forced the studio to push back Snow White's release date.
Since 2020, Pixar has maintained a record of releasing at least three movies every two years. The studio was also on the right path towards maintaining this trend in the 2023-24 timeframe since it had previously scheduled both Inside Out 2 and Elio for 2024. However, now that Elio has been delayed to 2025, Inside Out 2 will be the only Pixar movie coming out in 2024.
Technically, Mufasa: The Lion King is not even a live-action remake because it serves as a prequel to 2019's The Lion King. Unlike most Disney live-action adaptations such as Beauty & The Beast, The Jungle Book, The Lion King, and even Snow White, Mufasa: The Lion King will have a completely never-seen-before original storyline. Owing to this, one can arguably say that no new Disney live-action remakes are coming out in 2024 after Snow White's release date delay.
