Snow White and Aladdin look great.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT New art imagines Disney princesses if their live-action remakes were made the same year the original cartoon was released. In recent years, Disney's trend of turning its classic animated movies into live-action remakes has gained significant popularity.

Now, some new AI art is imagining if these Disney live-action remakes were made the same year the original cartoon came out. Check out the series of images below, which were posted to r/midjourney by u/7olenge: The images show Snow White , Cinderella , Alice in Wonderland , Tinker Bell from Peter Pan , Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty , Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmations , Ariel from The Little Mermaid , Belle from Beauty and the Beast , and Jasmine from Aladdin .

A Live-Action 1990s Aladdin & 1930s Snow White Look Great Of all the images imagining live-action Disney remakes if they were made the same year as the original cartoon, the Aladdin image, which is actually the last one in the slideshow above, is the most eye-catching. The Aladdin image appears appropriately eccentric, capturing the color palette of the decade and rendering an image reminiscent of beloved 1990s sitcoms like Saved by the Bell and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Yue Minjun | ArtnetYue Minjun is a contemporary Chinese artist known for his inventive take on self-portraiture. Grouped into the Cynical Realism movement in China, alongside artists Fang Lijun and Liu Wei, he refutes this labelling of his work. His brightly colored depictions of maniacally laughing figures are influenced both by Pop Art and Surrealism. His works act as a tacit form of social and political critique which deals with both Chinese history and the Western canon of art. “I’m actually trying to make sense of the world,” he said of his work. “There’s nothing cynical or absurd in what I do.” Born in 1962 in Daqing City, China, Minjun studied at Hebei Normal University in the 1980s, training as a painter, sculptor, and printmaker. Bearing witness to the restrictive regime which led to the Tiananmen Square massacre of protestors, he began using his art to understand the societal changes taking place in China over the following decades. In 2008, the artist collaborated with KAWS to produce a number of figurines which blend their two distinctive styles. He currently lives and works in Beijing, China. The artist’s works are held in the collections of the Denver Art Museum, the Shenzhen Art Museum, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
