Disney fans are rejoicing as Freaky Friday 2 is 'confirmed' - with Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis returning

Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are set to return together for Disney’s Freaky Friday 2 - bringing joy to fans of the classic first film.

Freaky Friday was originally a 1972 novel written by Mary Rodgers. It was first adapted into a movie in 1976, starring Barbara Harris and Jodie Foster as the mother and daughter. And according to The Hollywood Reporter, a sequel is now in the works, with Elyse Hollander writing the screenplay, and Disney keen to revisit that success.

The sequel would mark a return to studio filmmaking for Lindsay, who was a huge star in the 2000s and has been making a comeback of late with a two-movie Netflix deal that included rom-com Falling for Christmas.
