Discussions on Bazaar Rahmah to be held soon, says Deputy Minister

IPOH: Discussions on organising the Bazaar Rahmah will be held soon, says Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir.

The Deputy Local Government Development Minister said the ministry welcomes the initiative to have Bazaar Rahmah as it will be affordable to those in the low-income group ."So meetings and discussions will be held with other ministries such as the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry as well as local authorities.

On Feb 22, Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub said the ministry was planning to organise Bazaar Rahmah in strategic locations in the Klang Valley.Akmal Nasrullah said his ministry also supports the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry's initiative to approach local authorities to set up more Bazaar Rahmah.

Separately, Akmal Nasrullah said the ministry, through the local authorities, was focussing on balanced development in cities that will meet the needs of residents.
