The government’s Covid-19 rollout programme has received another boost with Discovery adding two more vaccine sites which will operate seven days a week.
“We are working closely with both the national and provincial departments of Health, and remain excited and motivated to be contributing to the country reaching population-level immunity,” he said.
Discovery said the Park Square vaccination site was one of the largest in KZN, with a capacity to vaccinate more than 2 200 people per day. “Given the acceleration in delivery of vaccines to South Africa, we must ensure a concomitant increase in the number of vaccinations administered, maximising the opportunity to get as many people vaccinated as quickly as possible. This is the best possible pathway to ensure protection for ourselves, our friends and families, and our communities,” added Noach.
He urged people who were eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine roll-out to register for their vaccination through the EVDS and book an appointment through the scheme’s website:Discovery vaccination sites offer free vaccination to anyone in South Africa whether they are members of the medical aid or not.
“We welcome anyone who has booked online to our Discovery vaccination sites – the sites are not limited to Discovery clients and members. Discovery’s KZN vaccination sites are open seven days a week,” said Noach.
