Shoppers have shared their disbelief over the 'ridiculous' price of a cupboard essential. A 450g tub of Bisto gravy now costs £4.50 at Asda, as prices rise in the cost of living crisis.
One member of the group commented: "That is just disgusting!!! Even Waitrose are bringing their prices down!! It will have to happen...people can't just buy this stuff!!!!" Others told the original poster to instead use supermarkets ' own gravy brands, because they were much cheaper and tasted just as good. One commented: "32p Asda own tastes just like Bisto!"
One group member said they were "sceptical" to ditch the iconic brand at first but they had switched to Aldi's own gravy brand and now "won't go back to Bisto!".
