Director paulfeig speaks to Screen Rant about working with author Soman Chainani to bring TheSchoolForGoodAndEvil to life:
Based on the best-selling series by Soman Chainani, The School For Good And Evil is available to stream on Netflix beginning Wednesday, October 19. The film follows the adventures of two best friends who are, literally, dropped into a school for magic. However, when Sophie lands in the School for Evil and Agatha finds herself in the School for Good, it becomes clear that there has been a mix-up.
Paul Feig Talks The School for Good and Evil Screen Rant: First off, what made you want to get involved with The School for Good and Evil? What was important to you when you were crafting this friendship between Agatha and Sophie? Was there anything that you really wanted to make sure you hit on? When you're turning a fantasy novel into a movie, it's obviously hard to adapt everything because of all the different elements. Was that a challenge that you ran into? Did you have to make any sacrifices or cut anything out?
