Diplo has been sued for distributing revenge porn, the second accusation against him for this offense in less than a year. In the lawsuit, an unidentified woman, referred to as Jane Doe, said she had an intimate relationship with the DJ over the course of seven years.
A Jane Doe sued the Grammy-winning producer, whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, for recording and distributing sexual images and videos of her without her consent to third parties, according to court docs obtained by Page Six.
Doe was allegedly told the person received the pornographic content, which showed her “genitals, buttocks, and face,” on Oct. 14, 2018. The material was allegedly sent over Snapchat.The “Lean On” hitmaker allegedly recorded their sexual encounters without her knowledge and then distributed them to third parties.Doe claimed an unnamed individual informed her in 2023 that she had sexually explicit material of her and Diplo engaging in private acts.
On the contrary, Doe’s attorney Micha Liberty of Liberty Law told Page Six, “Diplo’s actions represent a severe abuse of power and a blatant disregard for human dignity. It is imperative that we, as a society, condemn such actions and hold perpetrators accountable.”“Our brave client’s story is one of Diplo’s many worst-kept secrets, and the filing this case is her first step at forging a path to civil justice,” another attorney for Doe, Margaret E. Mabie of Marsh Law added.
