TikTok’s new streaming feature allowed Dior’s Artistic Director Maria Grazia Chirui to showcase her commitment to the origins of fashion and the meaning of cut and creation
With COVID disrupting the global fashion calendar this season , many fashion houses have had to reimagine their show experience. So while a TikTok fashion show might have seemed unimaginable in January, on Tuesday Dior presented their Spring/Summer 2021 show live on the platform. TikTok’s new streaming feature allowed Dior’s Artistic Directorto showcase her commitment to the origins of fashion and the meaning of cut and creation.
The SS21 collection revisited the concept of clothing from it’s ethos. From men’s shirts to sleek coats, the collection showcases skills and traditions from around the world, from Japan to Indonesia. The clothing was approachable, a seamless mix of the house’s heritage along with the hope of a happier time.
