As concerns around the Avian flu are increasing, so is the price of eggs.
One of the owners at a Cumberland County diner said that eggs went from costing him a dollar a dozen to as high as seven dollars.READ MORE |"They are astronomical," said Jamie Evelhoch, a manager at Squeaky Rail Diner.
But while some places, like Waffle House, are able to charge an extra 50 cents per egg, those running small-town diners say that can be a rotten choice to make.
