Department of Interior and Local Government 11 (DILG 11) regional director Alex Roldan warned the public on Wednesday against a scheming group identified as Bagong Bayang Maharlika (BBM), which is encouraging the public to be members of the group to receive assistance (ayuda) from President Ferdinan
Roldan said the group is operating throughout the country scheming people by name dropping President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.“Ug sila daw maghatag ug ayuda ug kung dili daw miyembro sa ilaha dili daw tagaan ug ayuda. Ingon ko ngano sa inyo man muagi nga naa may DSWD up to the municipal and to the barangay level. Isog ra ba kaayo sila mu debate, very insistent,” Roldan said during the AFP PNP Press Corps media briefing at the Royal Mandaya Hotel on Wednesday.
He said the group is inviting people to register in their group and will just ask for an amount to pay for ID printing. He warned that in the future the group will convince the members to invest. Roldan said he already discussed this concern to the reginal office of the Security and Exchange Commission .
