DOUGLAS, Ariz. — It’s been one year since an act of arson destroyed two historic churches on D Avenue in Douglas—two of four churches that made up the city's 'Church Square'.

Over the past year, Christiansen has been trying keep the church running, all while cleaning up what the fire left behind. “It felt so mixed Alexis," she shared."It looks so damaged and so hurt and so wounded, and yet there is a sense of dignity and hope.”
