Convertible variants of the same 8-Series models are also being recalled, totaling 526 examples, all of which were built from October 14, 2022 to February 15, 2023.

BMW is also recalling Gran Coupe versions of the 840i, 840i xDrive, M850i xDrive, M8, and Alpina B8 xDrive built from October 28, 2022 to February 15, 2023., consisting of the 230i, 230i xDrive, M240i, M240i xDrive, and M2 built from August 1, 2022 to February 13, 2023. Finally, BMW Z4 sDrive30i and Z4 M40i models produced between February 9, 2022 and February 15, 2023 need to be fixed.
