While Spider-Man 4 continues to be in development, Tom Holland has shared a major tease about it, but in the process, he also made a huge reveal about a character’s return in the next Spider-Man movie. Spider-Man: No Way Home was a turning point in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the web-slinger’s story, as it not only confirmed the Marvel Multiverse but also gave Peter Parker’s story a major twist.
There's Really Only One Reason Tom Holland Should Be Sharing A Marvel Script With Zendaya Why Else Would Zendaya Read Spider-Man 4’s Script? Tom Holland is no stranger to breaking Marvel’s legendary strict rules and then openly talking about it, so much so that Marvel has used this to its advantage a couple of times. However, when it comes to the script for Spider-Man 4, there’s really only one reason he should be sharing it with Zendaya, and that’s MJ returning in the next movie.
As mentioned above, Peter decided to make Strange cast a spell that would make everyone forget about him so the gates of the multiverse could be closed, but that included losing all his loved ones. At the end of No Way Home, Peter visited the coffee shop where MJ worked and bought a coffee, and was visibly heartbroken when he was hit with the realization that she doesn’t know who he is anymore, and so he isn’t part of her life anymore.
Peter promised MJ before the spell was cast that he would return to her, and he might be keeping his promise in Spider-Man 4. It wouldn’t make sense for Holland to read the script for Spider-Man 4 with Zendaya if she wasn’t returning as MJ, but there’s even a slight possibility that he revealed a bit too much of something he wasn’t supposed to do.
