Puerto Rico should not be Keleher’s self-described “laboratory” to test out her and DeVos’s preferred education model—but at least we now have more proof that this model does not work. We must learn from the failures of the past to ensure that when the next disaster hits, we are prepared to make the transition and recovery period as stable as possible for American children.
