Longtime ESPN college basketball commentator Dick Vitale shared that he is once again fighting cancer and that he will undergo surgery Tuesday.
“With all the I have received & the loving support of my family,friends & @espn colleagues I will win this battle.” Vitale wrote on X. “Surgery on Tues. will be a success. Thanks for All the prayers.” Such procedures didn’t stop the indefatigable Vitale, who still chimed in with thoughts about the NBA draft, including theThe Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer has now had four bouts with cancer since first being diagnosed in 2021.
