At the young age of 97 Dick Van Dyke has just been revealed as the Gnome on the Masked Singer US. 🤯 And some viewers were surprised to see the Mary Poppins actor on the show, not because of his age but because they ‘thought he was dead’.
On Wednesday evening, the first three characters Mustang, Gnome and Medusa took to the stage ahead of two eliminations on the hit US show.suspected it could be Robert De Niro under the mask, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke guessing Dustin Hoffman and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg suggesting Tony Bennett.Dick, 97, emerged from the costume,While the judges and fans were floored by his big reveal, Dick paid special attention to the reaction from the audience.
‘I stepped out and everybody’s mouths dropped open. I think some people thought I was dead,’ he added toThe dad-of-four and grandfather-of-seven claimed that although it was ‘real dark’ in his costume he loved every second of it. Pussycat Doll singer Nicole struggled to speak as she expressed how much it meant to be in Dick’s presence, telling him: ‘I love you so much, we love you, the whole world loves you so much. It’s an honour to have you on our show.’
