Dick Van Dyke had to flee his home in Malibu, California due to wildfires — just two days before his 99th birthday.
Dick Van Dyke, 98, was 'saved' by his neighbors while attempting to flee Malibu in the wake of the wildfires that are ravaging the star-studded California cliffs.'It was coming from the hill, you could see it,' the Dick Van Dyke Show alum said in an interview that aired on the Today show on Thursday, December 12. 'And oh my God, and we got out of here. I was trying to crawl to the car, I had exhausted myself, I couldn't get up.
'We're praying he'll be okay and that our community in Serra Retreat will survive these terrible fires.'Fortunately for Van Dyke and Silver — and Bobo, of course — the feline was safe.'We found Bobo as soon as we arrived back home this morning,' the six-time Emmy winner shared in a Facebook update on Thursday, noting: 'There was so much interest in his disappearance that Animal Control was called in to assist. But, thankfully he was easy to find and not harmed.
