The DHL Stormers need your help in celebrating the historic Champions Cup last 16 playoff against Harlequins on Saturday by filling Cape Town Stadium with a record 50,000 fans.
Kickoff is at 4pm on Saturday in the first of two matches that form a unique double-header, with DHL Western Province hosting Griquas in a Currie Cup clash at 7pm.Last season, 30,000 fans were in attendance as the Stormers won the Vodacom United Rugby Championship final in Cape Town. This season saw rugby played over the festive period for the first time in South Africa and more records were broken as local derbies in Cape Town contributed to a total of 55,000 fans in the country.
The most recent local derby, between the Stormers and Sharks in February, saw 31,000 turn up to Cape Town Stadium, which was the biggest crowd for a home Stormers match since 2017. Making their first appearance in the Champions Cup playoffs, the Stormers are looking for a packed Cape Town Stadium to boost them to a 21st-straight home win on Saturday.
