A cold front will bring below normal temps back to North Texas for a couple days, but 70s make a return later in the week.DALLAS — Widespread showers and storms have left North Texas as cold front moves in and brings back below normal temps to the area. Here are the latest forecast updates for this week:A few spotty showers or even storms are possible through nightfall in North Texas as a cold front moves into the area. Any rain will be very hit or miss and most places will stay dry.
Monday night will turn cooler behind the front with brisk northwest winds. Temperatures will drop into the 40s and even the 30s for some areas of North Texas. Because winds will stay up overnight, widespread frost formation is not likely, but it is not impossible for some patchy frost west of DFW and northern DFW to the Red River by Tuesday morning. Plants in sheltered areas will have the best chance at frost and a good idea to bring those inside just in case.Below normal temps will continue through Wednesday before temps quickly warm late week and into Easter Weekend. 70s will be around late week with 80s in the forecast by the weekend.
