MANILA -- The total number of Filipinos overseas who have been infected with the novel coronavirus has reached 5,392 after the Department of Foreign Affairs announced 24 new infections on Sunday.
Of the total, 2,231 have recovered and 370 others died. The remaining 2,791 cases are still active or recovering, the DFA said.
The foreign office said the Middle East has the highest recorded Filipino COVID-19 cases with more than 3,300.
