Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has a limited time to act on three significant bills passed by state lawmakers before they automatically become law. The bills include one that would protect doctors expressing unorthodox medical views, a measure requiring insurers to cover hearing aids for young Ohioans, and another mandating hospitals to publicly post their service prices.
Gov. Mike DeWine is planning to take action later this week on three of the most significant bills passed by state lawmakers on the final day of the 2023-2024 legislative session, according to a gubernatorial spokesman. One of those bills would prevent state or local medical regulators in Ohio from disciplining doctors who express unorthodox medical opinions, as the state medical board did in 2021 to a doctor who told state lawmakers that COVID-19 vaccines make their recipients magnetic.
