A proud Rangers fan currently undergoing cancer treatment was surprised with a 'once in a lifetime' experience after his best friend, who he met eight years ago at Ibrox, nominated him for a 'dream day' with the club.

A Rangers FC season ticket holder who is undergoing treatment for stage four cancer was surprised by a 'once in a lifetime' experience with his beloved club.

When John told William he had been diagnosed with stage four cancer, William knew he wanted to do something special for him. Last month, John was one of 12 Dream Day nominees living with terminal or life-changing illnesses who were invited to the Training Centre where they had the chance to meet the Men’s First Team and Manager and enjoy an exclusive autograph session. This was followed by a special lunch at Ibrox and a stadium tour.

John said: "I’ve been like a big baby. I was so proud to be a Rangers fan. It’s once in a lifetime and I have loved every minute.”
