Senior wide receiver suffered torn ACL in Week 2 of 2023 season
South Alabama wide receiver Devin Voisin in action as fall camp opens Wednesday, July 31, 2024, in Mobile, Ala. It was only the first day and South Alabama was just in shorts and helmets, but Devin Voisin was back on the field with his teammates on Wednesday.
Though his rehab has gone smoothly thus far, there are still other medical “checkpoints” for Voisin to hit prior to the Aug. 31 season-opener vs. North Texas. Being able to play all season without limitation is the goal, he said. Buys started the final eight games of last season at left guard, but also played on the right side earlier in the season. Taylor, a Mississippi State transfer, was a highly regarded recruit coming out of Mobile’s St. Paul’s Episcopal School in 2022, but missed all of last season for medical reasons.
• The Husky safety position is another one to watch this fall, as the Jaguars must replace veteran standout Yam Banks. A three-year starter, Banks transferred to Ole Miss in the offseason.
