Fans of 'The Devil Wears Prada' are finally getting an official peak at the movie's long awaited sequel. On Nov. 12, 20th Century Studios released a teaser trailer for 'The Devil Wears Prada 2,' appropriately set to Madonna's 1990 dance hit 'Vogue.
' The 50-second teaser shows fashion editor Miranda Priestly, played by Meryl Streep, wearing her signature shades as she struts down the hall of Runway magazine in studded red stilettos. Miranda steps into an elevator alone. But as she waits for the doors to close, a hand presses between the doors to stop them. That's when Andy Sachs, Miranda's former assistant played by Anne Hathaway, steps in beside Miranda and looking equally as glam. “Took you long enough,” Miranda tells Andy, who lets a smile pass through her lips as she puts on her own pair of dark sunglasses. Hathaway also shared the trailer on her official Instagram, captioning it, “It’s everyone’s birthday,” and adding several emoji and the hashtags #43 #DWP2. The highly anticipated sequel will follow Miranda, one of fashion's biggest influencers, as she navigates her career in a world where print journalism is on the wane, according to IMDb. The sequel to the 2006 film also reunites Streep and Hathaway with Emily Blunt, who reprises her character, Emily Charlton, another former assistant of Miranda's. Emily's now a powerful executive for a luxury group that's rolling in all the advertising dollars Priestly needs for Runaway. Stanley Tucci, Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman are also reprising their roles for “The Devil Wears Prada 2.” They'll be joined by several stars new to the franchise, including Kenneth Branagh, who plays Miranda's husband; Patrick Brammall, who plays Andy's love interest; Rachel Bloom, Lucy Liu, B.J. Novak, Justin Theroux, imone Ashley and Pauline Chalamet, Variety reports. 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' is set for a May 1, 2026, release date.
