A Bronx construction worker was killed in a jobsite incident on Thursday morning, police reported.
Authorities are investigating the dig site located on 1861 Carter Ave. in Mount Hope after an identified man was struck and killed by a digger at around 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 15.
The worker’s body, covered in a blood-covered white sheet, could be observed lying beside a large machine as NYPD officers shutdown construction. Fire Department sources said the worker went into cardiac arrest after being struck, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The exact cause of his death remains under investigation, and police have yet to release his identity.
“It is really sad. Those machines are so dangerous.
