Developers are seeking zoning for a new office, retail and restaurant project in Dallas' Design District.

Dallas-based commercial real estate giant CBRE Group is experimenting with the technology’s potential to boost efficiency and time savings throughout its entire business, from property management to lease administration and marketing.

“The 4.14-acre site is three parcels containing three one-story structures built in the 1950s,” according to the zoning request. “The requested rezoning is consistent with and would complement the existing neighborhood character.“The inclusion of ground floor commercial adds neighborhood destinations, aids in placemaking, and will serve as additional employment opportunity in proximity to nearby and proposed housing.

The developer is seeking city approval to build 462,100 square feet of office space and more than 50,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space. A company represented by Quadrant Investment has owned the site since last year, property tax records show. FCP is a partner in the site and obtained financing for the purchase.
